I use these clippers to trim the beak on a Galah I've had for years. She's lazy and doesn't use the calcium blocks or cuttlefish bone to wear the beak down naturally. She doesn't mind getting her beak trimmed at all, and I think, looks forward to getting it cut back when it gets too long and eating seed becomes difficult. Just for the experts, no she doesn't have beak & feather and her bloods are all good. The file that comes with the clippers works great on my own finger and toe nails. People nail files I've found are useless on my nails of steel as my wife calls them. I do recommend these items. They are sharp, easy to use, do the job well and are priced so everyone with a pet can afford a set.

Sharp with little effort to cut through thick toe nails. Swiftly done. My dog didn't like the file on his toes but that's him.
